The Abandoned

The Abandoned

When “The Abandoned” was sketched out it was going to be a church, but I struggled with it and realized that I hadn’t drawn the perspective right.  I ended up making an old abandoned  building, which I like just as well. I left a lot of natural space in this painting to give it a special effect. The Abandoned features greens and whites to create a winter scene on the forest edge which were added to further lend to the feeling of abandonment displayed by the empty cabin.
